B&A: How do you feel when writers attempt to weave together fiction with historical happenings (+ 1 BQ)?

I like it, as long as it makes sense. It actually serves to make it easier to relate to. Most fantasy involves things that aren't even close to being in the realm of everyday life, so adding some history in there can serve to bridge that gap. From just the question though, I thought you meant something like historical fiction (which I enjoy greatly) instead of more fantasy related.
